WHAT IS CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY?

Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, corrective form of touch therapy that uses subtle techniques to restore balance and well-being.  CST practitioners use non-force, light touch techniques that focus on the head and spine. The meditative focus of CST works in tandem with your Inner Healer to return you to your natural state of Wellness.

CONDITIONS THAT CST ADDRESSES:

Think any type of chronic or acute state of dis-ease that is not easing with time and/or the methods that you are currently using to help yourself feel better.  Includes and is certainly not limited to:

  • Joint and Muscle Conditions
  • Nerve Disorders
  • Headaches (inclusive of migraine patterns)
  • Dizziness and Vertigo
  • Jaw Pain (TMJ Disorder)
  • Digestive Disorders
  • Insomnia
  • Mental and Emotional Distress

TECHNIQUE: WHY LIGHT TOUCH?

CST contact techniques are very light touch.

The rhythm of the Cranial system is phasic like rhythms of breathing and the heart beat.  It is very subtle and so techniques to detect and correct  this system must also be subtle.  Out of phase rhythm is an indication of functional imbalance at the tissue level that it is felt.    CST is quiet focused work that often places the recipient in a very relaxed, meditative state.

IS CST JUST ANOTHER WOO WOO THERAPY?

You might think so given my description of the technique involved.  I can tell you as a chiropractic physician who has specialized in this form of therapy for the past 20 years that it is a dynamically curative  modality for many dis-ease conditions of very  concrete and diagnosable origins.

CST COMPLEMENTS YOUR BODY’S SMARTS TO HEAL ITSELF.

The elegance of CST is that it works with your body’s extremely high I-Q in knowing how to manage your well-being. This therapy  cooperates with your natural abilities to heal when your body looses its way and needs re-tuning toward functional balance.
